The Betterment of Brothers and Sisters (BBS) Organizations was founded March 5, 1941 by Henry Colsen Jackson. The Alpha Phi Chapter of the Betterment of Brothers and Sisters is one of the most prestigious non-Greek organization on VSU's campus encompassing members from all student organizations. The Betterment of Brothers and Sisters serves 7 purposes all helping and assisting new students, transfer students, the University, Student Activities, Admissions, Residence Life, promoting University Spirit, mentoring, and community service.
